The parenting program is structured to give parents simple and practical strategies to help them confidently manage their children’s behavior and strengthen their relationship. As part of the program, parents will learn evidence-based parenting techniques. This 8-week course meets court requirements for Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services requirements.
Domestic Violence Support Groups for Survivors
This is a weekly course for women survivors’ of domestic violence. In this group the survivor will learn how to identify risks associated to intimate partner violence and fundamentals for prevention and management. Participants will learn about domestic violence safety planning, abuser profile, and effects on children, the role of societal/cultural beliefs, community support services, legal issues, and other related topics. This 10-week course meets Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services requirements.
Sexual Abuse Awareness and Prevention Classes
Staff certified/trained in sex abuse prevention provides individual and group classes. In this training, students learn to identify, minimize risk, prevent sex abuse, and create a personal sex abuse prevention plan for their families. This course meets court requirements for L.A. County DCFS and other entities.
